Every contestant in Calf Club NZ has always received a prize pack with real ribbons, memories and more. This is all possible thanks to our Gold Sponsors. Once again this year both our on-farm and online competitors will receive their very own prize pack.
So what and how can you win extra ribbons and prizes during this years Calf Club NZ?
On Farm Competition
The local Calf Club NZ competition breaks the country into 21 regions including a video category for those contestants too far from any judge. This enables anyone from across New Zealand to take part in Calf Club NZ. Our regions are dictated by registrations each year.
Each region then has two age groups Primary/Intermediate and High School. In each region there is 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place for four main categories.

Each of these sections is an opportunity to gain points on your Calf Club NZ scorecard and at the end of the competition scorecards are tallied to decide our national champions from 1st place to 5th place for four categories;

This section has three key areas to focus on;

With placing 1st – 5th on the card for peoples choice award and our online judging panel you will want to capture a great photo and write an informative 100 word summary of your experience with this years calf.
Spot prizes from our valued sponsors are also going to be available so keep an eye on our website and facebook page to find out how you could take home an extra special prize this year.
The online section still brings home real ribbons so if judging isn’t for you or you are under 5 years old the online competition is great to get involved in!
Engagement Awards
This year we want to reward a few lucky winners! Submitted a memory through the Calf Club NZ will gain you an entry into this category and at the end of judging in October we will pull five lucky winners out of the hat.
The prizes for this category are yet to be confirmed.
